Self-taught since 1989, my work has been inspired by the fragile balance between life, human society and nature. Having experimented extensively with various media and styles, my work and inspirations have realized their best expression in a rich realist style in acrylic on canvas.

My collected work can be divided into two main trends. The first of these, sensitive to themes related to the precarious balance of those forces which surround us, are painted in a style reminiscent of the symbolist art popular at the dawn of the 20th century. In these works, I try to capture the evolution of both our values and contemporary thought; inspired by life, death, the passage of time and individual and societal change, my works demand that the viewer pause to look more objectively at the world around him... a world which is constantly changing as it seeks to re-define itself.

The second tendency in my work is inspired by nature/wildlife art, in which I try to capture the richness and fragility of nature's delicate balance. To reveal and make known nature's beauty and vulnerability is, in my opinion, essential in order to sensitize people to the ecological challenges with which we are faced. Ultimately, I believe that upon seeing and understanding how millions of years of evolution were necessary in the development of this impressive balance between animals and their habitats, we cannot remain unaffected as we ascertain how contemporay man's actions and values radically threaten the lives of all species on the planet.
